Marketing/Communications Coordinator for DMBA

 

The Downtown Middleton Business Association is looking for a part-time independent contractor to help manage our marketing communications in 2021. The Marketing Communications Coordinator will consult with officers and members of the organization concerning matters relating to the management and communication of the organization, and generally any matter arising out of the business affairs of the organization. Specific duties will include:

  • Management of social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram)

  • Management of Downtown Middleton website (Wix)

  • Periodic written newsletters to members

  • Coordination of meetings with members

  • Development of mailing list and periodic written newsletters to customers

 

This position will average 20-30 hours a month. The amount of time may vary from day-to-day or week-to-week. However, the consultant shall devote a minimum of 20 hours per month to fulfill duties in accordance with this agreement. The consultant should plan to attend monthly Board and Associate meetings of the DMBA to share updates, as well as social media insights such as Google Analytics. 
 
Skill requirements include:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, take initiative and move quickly

  • Proficiency in social media

  • Proficiency in Wix and Constant Contact

  • Marketing savvy

  • Project management skills with strong attention to detail

  • Passion for supporting locally-owned business

  • Base-level graphic design skills, using tools such as Canva, are helpful
